Nigerians React As Obasanjo Denies Endorsing Tinubu

Some Nigerians have mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo debunks endorsing the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Naija News earlier reported that Speaker of the House of Representative, Femi Gbajabiamila on Thursday claimed that what transpired during the meeting between Obasanjo and Tinubu was a sign of victory for Tinubu in 2023.

However, the former president in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, on Saturday, debunked the reports.

While expressing his displeasure, Obasanjo said the statement credited to him is fake and that the people behind the report are not helpful to the candidate

In his words: “Those claiming to be insiders at the meeting issuing statement on the discussion and those crediting to me statement I had not made are enemies of the visitor and are not doing the visit any good.”

This has caused an outrage on social media with many Nigerians making a mockery of APC.
