PDP Crisis: Who Are Wike’s Friends In APC? – Fintiri Speaks On Ongoing Feud

The governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Fintiri has said that those praising the governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike are not his friends.

Naija News reports that Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar has been at loggerheads for a while now.

The rift between the duo began after Atiku emerged as the winner of the party’s presidential primaries and deepened when Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa was appointed as the vice presidential candidate.

To bury the hatchet and maintain peace, Wike and his cohorts are calling for the resignation of the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu

Reacting to the ongoing rift, Fintiri, while announcing that he had gotten an appointment to lead Atiku Abubakar’s reconciliation team as part of ongoing efforts to resolve the lingering feud said that he would achieve a truce between the duo by God’s grace.

He gave the assurance while speaking with a journalist at the Yola International Airport on Saturday.

He said, “Who are his friends in the APC? Are you telling me that those who are now romancing Wike love him? I can assure you that with God, the party will put its house in order before the 2023 elections. Even Wike knows that he has been by far the biggest investor in the party; can he now walk away from all of his investment? We recognise that he loves his people and I can assure you that he will have a fair deal if it comes to that; we just need to put the crisis behind us.”
