Why RCCG Banned Non-members From Preaching In Its Churches

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has renamed the redemption camp.

The cleric said that the camp would now be known as Redemption City, Naija News reports.

Adeboye made this announcement at the end of the Church’s Ministers’ Conference while also hinting at the retirement of pastors who are up to 70 years.

The cleric stated further that the Redemption Camp will henceforth carry the tag of a city, just like the Vatican City in Rome.

The ring road in the Camp was also named after the founder of the church Pastor Josiah Akindayomi.

The camp, located on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, contains several halls, hostels, houses, etc.

I Was Ridiculed After My Son Died

Adeboye has said that he was mocked after he lost his son last year.

the cleric revealed this during the ongoing 70th Annual Convention of the church along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The programme with the theme, ‘Perfect Jubilee’ began on Monday, August 8th and would last through Sunday, August 14th, 2022.

The octogenarian said that the period he lost his son was the saddest in his life.

However, a message from one of his daughters rekindled his faith and boost his belief in God.

He said, “Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life, with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow some people were still laughing at me, I got a text from one of my daughters.”

All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you’. And that put an end to any problem; it ended my sorrows. It renewed my faith.”

The cleric had lost his 42-year-old son, Dare Adeboye on May 4, 2021 in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was based with his family.

The deceased was the assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35 before his death. He was married to Temiloluwa and fathered three daughters.
