‘Get Yourself A New Doctor, Lagos State Has Suffered Enough’ – Funke Akindele

Nollywood actress and Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship candidate, Funke Akindele has thrown a jab at the incumbent governor of the state.

Naija News reports that this is coming a few days after the Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu shared his thought on being defeated by the opposition party, during an interview on Channels TV.

When he was asked if he considers Olajide Adediran and his running mate, Funke Akindele, as a threat, he replied: “So you know, like I said if you have an emergency, who would you call? What are your chances? Do you call the man that has the experience that has gone through the trenches before that has lived with it that understands what the issues are.

“That appreciate what challenge you have even at 3 a.m. or will you leave your chance to someone that doesn’t know where the dial is or that doesn’t even know what the issues of governance are? This is Lagos.

“This is an informed audience. This is not a tea party. We’re talking about real governance. We’re talking about the lives of 20-plus million Nigerians.

In a post shared on Instagram on Tuesday, 9th August, Funke Akindele opined that Lagos has suffered enough and needs a breath of fresh air.

According to the actress, when people are suffering from a medical condition and their experienced doctor has neither provided a diagnosis nor treatment, it is important to get a new doctor.

She wrote: “If you’ve been suffering from a medical condition for years and your “EXPERIENCED DOCTOR” has neither provided you with a diagnosis nor a treatment, please get yourself a NEW DOCTOR. Lagos state has suffered enough. Lagos needs a breath of fresh air. Jandor/Funke ‘23″
