Bayern Munich Will Defeat Liverpool If We Clash – Sadio Mane

Former Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane who joined Bayern Munich this summer, on Thursday affirmed that his new team would defeat the Reds if they clash in the Champions League.

Mane stated this while speaking about his goal that helped Liverpool defeat Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 of the Champions League in 2019.

Liverpool won the Champions League that year after defeating English Premier League side, Tottenham in the final.

Mane who had previously described his goal against Bayern Munich as one of his favourite goals, however, backtracked on that claim while speaking with the official Bundesliga newsletter.

The 30-year-old said he would describe his goal against his new club as his second favourite and not his favourite, because Bayern Munich is now his club.

He, however, noted that the goal against his team was good.

Mane during the interview said, “I said maybe my favourite but now I would say second favourite goal, not my first because he’s my teammate.

“No, I’m joking… Of course, I think it was a good goal, kind of a good goal. We had a good game. This is behind us.

“If we’re going to meet again, of course as Bayern Munich we’d beat Liverpool.”
