The PUNCH: The Nigeria Railway Corporation has suspended the Lagos-Kano and Ajaokuta train services due to fear of terrorist attacks. Multiple sources in the Ministry of Transportation and the NRC  confided in one of our correspondents that the train services would not resume until the security along the Lagos-Kano route and the Ajaokuta train station was guaranteed.

The Guardian: Few days to the deployment of the Fifth-Generation (5G) network in Nigeria, investigations have shown that the licensees, MTN Nigeria and Mafab Communications, may not be ready to deploy the service from August 24, as a result of lingering infrastructural and licensing challenges.

This Day: The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Kashim Shettima, has assured Nigerians that if elected, the Bola Tinubu administration would be inclusive, just, and fair to all Nigerians, irrespective of tribal, religious, or political affiliation.

Daily Trust: Nigerians are finding it increasingly difficult to access the United States dollar at the Central Bank of Nigeria’s official rate for eligible transactions, Daily Trust findings revealed. Worse affected are those travelling abroad who are experiencing delays in accessing Business Travel Allowance (BTA), Personal Travel Allowance (PTA) and monies to pay for medicals and others.
