Refrain From Any Attempt To Harass Any Opposition Member - Atiku Tells APC

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said he would unveil his campaign structure and campaign strategy soon.

Atiku made this known on Saturday while speaking at the unveiling of the New Generation project named Rescue Nigeria in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The former Vice President said his campaign strategy for the 2023 presidential election will be centred on polling units in line with the new electoral process.

He stated that the opposition party needs to change its strategy and embark on a grassroots mobilisation plan if it wants to win the 2023 general elections.

Atiku added that the PDP will not have a large campaign council and the party is not going to be engaged in the jamboree campaign as previously done in past elections.

He said, “As far as the PDP is concerned, we are going to unveil a campaign structure soon with more emphasis on the polling units.

“We are not going to have an unwieldy campaign council and we are not going to be engaged in the jamboree campaign that they used to do.

“The party needs to change its strategy and frame up its grassroots mobilisation plan if it wants to win the 2023 general elections.

“As you know, our current electoral process is devolved in the polling unit”

Okowa Appeals For Massive Support

Governor of Delta State and PDP Vice presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa called on party members to give the party’s presidential flag bearer the desired support to have the ability to undo the present insecurity and welfare challenges facing the nation.

“In troubled times such as we experience today, we need the guidance of those who have been tested; a man with a nationalistic personnel to secure and not to destroy us and to foster our people yet again,” he said.

Ayu Stresses Need To Rescue Nigeria

In his remarks, the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu asked the PDP members behind the New Generation project not to relent on the effort to rescue the country.

Ayu urged the support group to continue campaigning for the party to win the forthcoming elections and save Nigerians from the shackles of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said: “Do not relent in the rescue effort because I am very certain that come what may, next year, you will have a brand new president, Atiku Abubakar.
