Shehu Sani Slams Buhari For Retaining Failed Appointees

Former Kaduna North Central Senator, Shehu Sani has described President Muhammadu Buhari as weak when it comes to dealing with his appointees.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain criticized the Nigerian leader for not sacking his appointees who have failed in various positions.

Sani said for Buhari to punish his aides he will rather make bonds with them at the cost of his reputation and the fate of the nation.

Naija News understands that the politician made the claims onFriday via his verified page on the microblogging platform, Twitter.

The tweet reads: “The President is weak when it comes to sacking his appointees who have failed his Government and the nation at large. He retains them and is bonded to them like a blood covenant, at the cost of his reputation and the fate of the nation.

“The National Security Adviser is as ‘frustrated’ as other Nigerians,” the senator added.

Meanwhile, Sani had in another post earlier said that the reported attack on a military facility near Zuma Rock is not the first.

“You can google and find out. The Terrorists just found out they can audaciously attack the same place twice,” he tweeted.

Tension In Abuja Over Fleeing Terrorists

The presence of security agents in sensitive areas of the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday night has reportedly raised tension among residents.

Reports obtained by Naija News on Friday morning revealed that soldiers were mounted over various security checkpoints in and around the nation’s capital city to track fleeing terrorists.

It could be recalled that the 102 Guards Battalion came under attack late Thursday evening. The development raised concerns among citizens.

Soldiers from the Guards Brigade, Army Headquarters Garrison, Defence Headquarters Garrison, Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, and troops from army operations accord the country were sighted in every sensitive area of the FCT.

Their target was to foil any attack by terrorists who have listed some places as targets for attack, Naija News learned.
