Good Music Friday: Beautiful Sounds Emerge This Week

Published

on

It’s almost customary for Nigerian artistes and international artistes scattered all over the world to release new music on Fridays. Last week, artistes like P-Square, Omah Lay, Wande Coal and a host of others dropped new music. This week, there’s some new music for the ears of fans.

Beyonce releases ‘Renaissance,’ which is the seventh studio album by the artiste, dubbed by many the greatest of her generation. Marvel also dropped the album for the Blockbuster ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ Some days ago, the trailer of the movie emerged on social media and to the surprise of many, Nigeria’s very own singer and song writer, Tems was heard in it, doing a cover of Jamaican musician Bob Marley’s ‘No woman no cry.’

Come November 2022, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ will be released in cinemas all over the world and it bodes well for Afrobeats in Nigeria as Tems is featured on the soundtrack. It further proves that Afrobeats is on the right track. The ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ prologue was also be released today.

Today’s New Music Friday seems to be filled to the brim. UK born Ghanian producer Jae5 calls up UK born Nigerian rapper, Dave and Nigerian artiste Buju BNXN to link up on a track ‘Propeller.’ The producer is known for his finesse when it comes to making beats and rhythm, just as he did in his song ‘Dimension’ where he featured Nigerian artiste Rema and UK rapper Skepta. He’s come up with ‘Propeller’ now and features a solid rapper and excellent chorus taker. Headphones are in order.

Nigerian rapper Phyno teams up with Tekno on a song he’s dubbed ‘Full Current.’ Prior to his feature on Kizz Daniel’s hit single ‘Buga,’ Tekno hasn’t really been in the music scene for a while but he’s on Phyno’s track and Tekno always brings the heat. A good one for today. Seems like the rappers are on their grind today as Jesse Jagz, younger brother to veteran rapper M.I features on a song today with Larry Gaga and Tegastar on ‘Blessings.’

Good music friday

Fridays are normally choked with good music and today is not any different. Dj Tunez, Victony and Wande Coal on a song, ‘Bad Girl,’ Dj Spinall and Flash on yet.

Another, ‘Fididi’ and American producer Calvin Harris features Normani, Tinashe and Offset on a track he’s called ‘New to you.’ As earlier mentioned, filled to the brim.

Music has been defined differently by different people at different times, and good music can be relative. Luckily for us, we never run out of them. It’s the weekend. These artistes have served, it’s left for us to eat.
