The Ondo State Police have reportedly arrested a man for making a social media post berating the Ondo State Government for abandoning victims of the St. Francis Catholic church in Owo.

Naija News understands that Oladotun Olorunfemi also made a video insulting the Olowo of Owo, Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye.

A source who insisted on anonymity informed Peoples Gazette that Olorunfemi had spent over twenty hours in police detention without charge.

The source said that the detainee was displeased with his sister’s condition who was a victim of the attack, after visiting her at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owo, and was upset with her condition.

He insisted that the video resulted from him seeing the victims pay for drugs with their personal money “despite heavy donations by prominent people” and organisations.

The publication sent a message to the Ondo Police Command spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, but confirmation has not been received as at the time this story was published.

“It is obvious that the royal fathers play crucial roles in curbing crimes and other social vices occasioned by the rising insecurity and its attendant effects in our country.

“We are indeed proud of this feat and we urge you to sustain the mutual relationship between Amotekun agency and the traditional rulers towards ensuring the safety of our communities.

“I wish to urge them not to rest until victory is achieved and we can all sleep with our two eyes closed. The royal fathers will be readily available as a partner in progress in this regard.”
