Nigeria Is Safe For Investment - Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said that the county is safe for investment, asking foreign investors to come and do business.

Mohammed also refuted reports that the country is a war zone or there is religious persecution in the country.

Speaking at an Investors’ Fair, tagged “Africa Walk” in Lagos on Saturday, Mohammed accused the opposition of demarketing the country with fake news.

Mohammed said lies were being promoted by those against the Muhammadu Buhari administration, adding that Boko Haram terrorists have been degraded in the North-East.

“We were elected on the three pillars of the economy, security, and anti-corruption.

“We have not left any stone unturned to turn things around despite the numerous challenges.

“The Boko Haram sect and Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) have been severely degraded.

“We are also tackling banditry with the same vigour with which we have taken on Boko Haram and ISWAP.

“It is a matter of time for bandits to be decimated too,” Mohammed assured.

Meanwhile, former Kaduna North Central Senator, Shehu Sani has expressed worry over the operations of bandit terrorists in Nigeria.

Naija News reported earlier that terrorists on Sunday released a video where they threatened to kidnap and kill Nigeria’s number one citizen, President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a video clip obtained by Daily Trust, the terrorists threatened to abduct and kill Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State.

Reacting indirectly to the treats, Senator Sani via his Twitter page on Sunday morning said time is of the essence for the incumbent government to act.

The politician observed that terrorists have in most cases succeeded in their operations, holding victims captive and only releasing them when a ransom is paid.

Sani said the terrorist’s aim from the latest video they posted was to wage a psychological war to draw the attention of the government to their demands.
