Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has claimed that Christian clerics who attended the unveiling of the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima are not members of the Christians Association of Nigeria.

Amidst the outrage of the Muslim-Muslim ticket, APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu officially unveiled Shettima as his running mate for the 2023 general election.

During the event which was held in Abuja today, some unpopular bishops and pastors were seen and there are speculations that they were hired by Tinubu’s camp.

Reacting to this, Reno in a post shared on Facebook said those clerics at the event were not ‘CAN’ members but ‘SCAM’ members who belong to a different body.

Reno said the real CAN members held a protest against the Muslim-Muslim ticket on Tuesday adding that the public should question APC about the names of the clerics, their congregations and who they represent.

He wrote: “These are not CAN members that showed up at Tinubu’s Shettima unveiling. These are actually SCAM members. The real CAN members held a protest against the Muslim-Muslim ticket yesterday. The SCAM members belong to a different body!

“Ask APC for their names. Ask them to show their congregations. Who do they represent? Look at the photos.

“Some of them do not even know how to wear their frocks well. And by the way, what are so-called bishops doing at a political rally for a KNOWN DRUG LORD”?
