Tinubu Camp Hires ‘Unknown Bishops’ To Venue Of Unveiling Of Kashim Shettima As Running Mate

Some “unknown Bishops” were allegedly hired by the Tinubu Camp to the venue of the unveiling of the vice presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Kashim Shettima.

It will be recalled that after announcing the former Borno state governor Kashim Shettima as running mate by the presidential candidate of APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a lot of criticisms trailed the Muslim/Muslim ticket of
the party.

A source who preferred anonymity disclosed that the APC leader’s camp had gone to hire some Christian bishops to attend the formal unveiling of his Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima on Wednesday.

However, the Bishops who were in their robes were sighted on Wednesday at the event which took place at Shehu Musa Yar’adu Centre Abuja.

The purported appearance of the Bishops was said to have allegedly caused a stir at the entrance of the event as the crowd taunted them and shouted “The bishops are here.”

Meanwhile, the so-called Bishops could not get seats at the main hall of the main venue, as they were seen being ushered to the gallery which served as overflow.

Also, it will be recalled that many Nigerians have continued to express disappointment in the choice of a Muslim-Muslim pairing ticket by the APC flag bearer for the 2023 general elections.

Many then described the action as an attempt to trample on the religious rights of Nigerians.
