The Police Command in Osun State has launched a manhunt for a housewife, Ifeoluwa Bamidele, who reportedly set her husband, Bolu, ablaze in Osogbo on Sunday.

The Osun command’s spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, made this known in a statement in Osogbo.

The police said that a case of attempted murder was reported at about 11.30pm on Sunday.

At about 11:30pm, one Bolu, was allegedly set ablaze by his wife.

“The victim was rushed to the Osogbo Central Hospital where he was referred to the University College Hospital, Ibadan (UCH) for better treatment,’’ she said.

She said the police will ensure that the woman is arrested.

Bamidele allegedly committed the act  after finding out her husband had a child outside wedlock.

The incident was said to have happened in Osogbo when Bolu was visiting home from his base.

Prior to the unfortunate incident, Ife was said to have left an angry note on her Whatsaapp stories saying her man has ”pushed her to the edge, and promised that people will weep over the both of them before daybreak”

Ife kept through with her words by setting her husband, Bolu on fire and escaping thereafter.

It was gathered that Bolu was rushed to the hospital by neighbours while Ife was no where to be found.
