The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has debunked the meeting of the General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye and the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.

Naija News recalls earlier reports had it that Adeboye met with Tinubu on Sunday over his decision to settle for a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election.

According to ThisDay, Adeboye’s meeting with Tinubu took place on Sunday at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The former Lagos State governor’s wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who is an assistant pastor with RCCG, alongside others, were said to have attended the meeting.

In the statement released on Tuesday, RCCG said Adeboye will not speak about political issues on behalf of other Christian bodies.

The statement further disclosed that the clergyman has not and will not endorse any candidate for the 2023 general election in Nigeria.
