"I Will Say Things More Than This" - Fayose Threatens PDP

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has hailed the emergence of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the Governor-elect of Osun State.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday evening Fayose congratulated Senator Adeleke on his well-deserved victory in the just-concluded Osun governorship election.

The former Ekiti governor said the victory is indeed a triumph of the will of the people of Osun State and a reward for hard work and persistency.

Fayose, therefore, prayed that God should grant Adeleke the wisdom and understanding to deliver good governance in Osun State.

He wrote: “I congratulate my brother, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State Governor-Elect, on this well-deserved victory.

“This electoral victory is indeed a triumph of the will of the people of Osun State and reward for hard work and persistency.

“May God grant Senator Adeleke the required wherewithal to deliver good governance to the people of Osun State.”

Naija News had earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared Adeleke as the winner of Saturday’s Osun governorship election.

Adeleke, the PDP candidate polled 403,371 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress and incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola, who gathered 375,027 votes.

The PDP candidate won 17 local government areas in the state, while the candidate of the APC, Oyetola won the remaining 13 local government areas in the state.
