2023: Deji Adeyanju Reacts To 'Attack' On Kwankwaso In Kogi

Political activist, Deji Adeyanju has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari did not allow a free and fair election in Osun State.

Naija News earlier reported that Buhari in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, said that the people of Osun have expressed their will through the ballot.

He also congratulated the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the Saturday gubernatorial election.

Buhari said the successful conduct of the Osun governorship election is a testimonial to the maturity and commitment of all stakeholders. He promised to leave a legacy of a free and fair election when he leaves office.

In a tweet via his Twitter page on Sunday, Adeyanju also alleged that the President and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors attempted to rig the election till the last minute.

Adeyanju commended the people of Osun state for protecting their votes until the final result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The former PDP Youth leader, however, warned Nigerians to be on alert because the ruling APC is not planning a free and fair election in 2023.

He wrote: “Buhari did not allow free & fair election in Osun. Both he & APC Governors tried to rig the election till the last minute.

“We must commend the people of the Osun for not sleeping and protecting their votes. The APC is not planning for a free & fair in February. Opposition, wake up.”
