The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned electorates in the ongoing Osun State gubernatorial election to shun violence.

In a post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, the electoral umpire rolled out numbers that the voters can call in case of any emergency during the election.

INEC also urged the electorates to vote peacefully.

The tweet read: “OsunDecides2022

“In case of EMERGENCY, please call INEC on: 0700-2255-4632, 09050858629, 09084444333.

“Shun Violence and VOTE Peacefully.”

Naija News had earlier reported that the PDP governorship candidate Ademola Adeleke arrived at his polling unit in Abogunde/Sagba Ede North.

Adeleke while addressing newsmen after casting his vote commended INEC for the electoral process.

He further stated that the governorship election in Osun State is going well.

The PDP governorship candidate noted things are okay in other voting areas from the information he has gotten.

He pleaded with the electoral body to allow the people of Osun to decide who they want.
