The 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour party, Peter Obi has arrived Osun State to rally support for the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Lasun Yusuf.

Naija News understands that Osun election is scheduled to hold on July 16, 2022.

Lasun Yusuf is the flagbearer of the Labour party, while Gboyega Oyetola, the incumbent governor, is the candidate of the APC, and Ademola Adeleke is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Other candidates are, Akin Ogunbiyi of Accord, and Goke Omigbodun of Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Recall that the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Yusuf escaped an assassination attempt in the early hours of Monday as gunmen were said to have invaded his country home in Ilobu Irepodun local government areas of the state.

It was gathered that the gunmen stormed his residence around 2.00 a.m of the day but were vehemently resisted by his security guards.
