Yetunde Adeyanju

A newly redeployed commissioner in Ondo State, Yetunde Adeyanju has tendered her resignation letter with reasons.

Naija News understands that the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu recently announced the redeployment of some commissioners in Ondo, of which Adeyanju was one of them.

The governor made the announcement while inaugurating two new Commissioners in a bid to reshuffle his cabinet.

Adeyanku was previously serving in the Ondo State Ministry of Water and Sanitation before she was redeployed to serve in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

However, barely three hours after receiving her redeployment letter, Adeyanju tendered her resignation letter.

Stating her reason for resigning, Adeyanju said she wanted to explore other endeavours outside politics for now. She, however, thanked Governor Akeredolu for the platform given her to serve the state in her capacity.

“I hereby resign my appointment as a Commissioner in Ondo State with immediate effect.

“My decision is predicated on a personal conviction to explore other endeavours outside politics for now.

“However, I’m grateful to you for the golden opportunity given to me to contribute to the growth of our dear state, especially with the Kamomi Aketi Rural Water Supply.

“You gave me the platform and I’m proud that I used it well for the good of humanity. Kamomi Aketi Water Scheme remains the joy of thousands of rural dwellers today.
