Nigerians are already tired of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), hence will vote them out in the 2023 general elections, says Professor Pat Utomi.

The Professor of Political Economy while appearing live on Politics Today on Channels TV earlier on Tuesday said APC’s presidential flag-bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his counterpart in PDP, Atiku Abubakar will both lose to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Naija News recalls that Utomi was a presidential aspirant under Labour Party before Obi decamped from PDP to join his camp.

Utomi subsequently withdrew his presidential ambition to give way for Obi.

Explaining to PREMIUM TIMES weeks ago why he stepped down for Obi, Utomi said his decision to give up his aspiration in favour of Mr Obi was based on “a variety of factors.”

He stated that he has been looking for an alternative and creative political platform that will challenge the dominance of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and opposition PDP to usher in an era of credible leadership in Nigeria.

He further added that he is in touch with other parties for a possible alliance to provide a better political alternative to Nigerians

Speaking again on Tuesday (today), Utomi assured Channels Tv that Obi will win the forthcoming 2023 presidential election, Naija News reports.

According to him, Obi who was a former governor of Anambra State would retire the presidential candidates of both APC and PDP.

He asserted that Nigerians are tired of the two political parties for their non-performance, stressing that the time has come to save the country.

“Nigeria is at dead end. Nigeria is bankrupt technically. Nigeria cannot pay its debt. Nigerians need a change and that change is Peter Obi”, Utomi said.
