Peter Obi Gets House Donation To Use As Campaign Office In Delta

The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday, received a donation of a building to turn into his campaign office in Delta State.

Naija News understands that the presidential hopeful received the donation from a political pressure group which identified itself as Like Minds 4A New Nigeria.

The group pledged to sensitize and mobilize Nigerians across all electoral wards in the six geopolitical zones in the country to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The political group said it has confidence in the candidacy of the former governor of Anambra State and believes strongly that Obi is competent to rule the country.

Speaking shortly after the donation of the building located at Issele-Azagba, Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr Kingsley Odum,who led the political group, said he donated the structure which he claimed was his personal building to Obi, on behalf of the group to Labour Party.

Odum declared total support of the group for Mr Peter Obi in the 2023 elections, explaining that; “our support is based on a common belief that Peter Obi is the most capable candidate that can bring about a positive change in the country based on his track record.

“Like Minds 4A New Nigeria, is a frontline support group of Peter Obi with membership across the six geopolitical zones of the country, Africa and the diaspora. The group is formed in pursuit of positive change, good governance and sustainable development.

“I have donated my building to serve as a secretariat for Labour Party, to show my support and demonstration of my confidence in Mr Peter Obi’s capacity and competence to entrench good governance in Nigeria”.

On his part, a co-founder of the group who identified himself as Mr Gabriel Nzewi said they will encourage the youths to get their PVC and also sensitize them to defend their votes during the 2023 election.
