FG Will Obey Supreme Court Order On Old Naira Notes - Malami

The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, says President Muhammadu Buhari would continue to do everything possible to secure the country.

He stated this in a statement he personally signed on Saturday while felicitating with the Muslim Ummah on this year’s Eid-al-Adha celebrations in Birnin Kebbi.

Malami added that the President is addressing the present challenge of insecurity facing the country, adding that the Nigerian leader would ensure that the menace is brought to an end.

He assured Nigerians that the country would experience peace and will be restored to its past glory before the Buhari administration ends in 2023.

Malami asserted that President Buhari would ensure that all mechanisms were put in place for a seamless transition of power next year.

“I want to reassure you that the Buhari-led administration will continue to do everything possible to secure this country. I pray that God would answer our prayers for lasting peace in Kebbi State and the country as a whole, as well as a peaceful political transition early next year,” he said.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Nigerians to stop playing politics with the challenges of insecurity facing the country.

This is as it urged the people of the country to instead pray for President Buhari.

The APC made the submission in a statement on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Barr Felix Morka which conveyed the ruling party’s Sallah message to Nigerians.

Morka in the statement stressed that Buhari and the government are doing everything possible to curb the insecurity in Nigeria and urged Nigerians to support them in prayers.
