Wadume, Al-Barnawi Missing As FG Releases List Of Escaped Terrorists From Kuje Prison
The federal government of Nigeria has released the list of terrorists who escaped from the Kuje Medium Correctional Center in Abuja following Tuesday’s daring attack on the facility.
As earlier reported by Naija News, the government disclosed the bio-data and photos of the terrorists who escaped from the Kuje Medium Correctional Center in Abuja and declared them wanted.
According to the information made available to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Abubakar Umar, the escapees are members of the Boko Haram terrorist group.
He urged members of the public with useful information that can lead to the re-arrest of the fleeing inmates to contact the closest security agency.
However, our correspondent observed that the names of Hamisu Wadume, the notorious kidnap kingpin from Taraba and Boko Haram Commander, Al Barnawi were not on the list.
Earlier reports have it that Wadume was one of those who escaped following Tuesday’s attack on the prison facility.
No mention of them or their circumstances was made by the correctional service.
Some of the names on the released list include Abdulkareem Musa, Abdulsalami Adamu, Abubakar A Habibu, Abubakar M Sadiq, Abubakar Mohammed, Akibu Musa Danjuma, Amodu Omale Salihu, Ismaila Idris Abdullahi.
Others are Suleiman Zacharia, Sunday Micheal, Baluye Modu, Adamu Hagola, Ibrahim Musa, Auwal Abubakar, Muktar Umar and Musa Umar, amongst others.
The details of the escapees have been uploaded to the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) database as the manhunt for them intensifies.
