Human rights activist and publisher, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the attack on Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanemere during the demolition of his church building.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported that the clergy man was  assaulted by officials of Anambra state government for obstructing the demolition process.

Odumeje’s building located  at no 88B Bida Road, Fegge, Onitsha, was marked by the Anambra State government for demolition in April.

The church building is reportedly sitting on a huge canal and obstructing waterways, prompting the government to order its removal.

Condemning the attack on the clergyman via Twitter, Sowore insisted that it was inhumane and a violation of his dignity.

He tweeted: “This attack on Pastor Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere “Odumeje” by soldiers/policemen is cruel, inhuman and a violation of his dignity, it amounts to torture and degrading treatment. The soldiers or policemen involved must be arrested and prosecuted.”
