North London club, Arsenal have reportedly resolved to let go of seven players before the commencement of the 2022/2023 English Premier League season.

Naija News understands that Arsenal finished 5th in the 21/22 premier league campaign with a total of 69 points, two points behind fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur.

In an attempt to revamp their squad ahead of the new summer, Arsenal have put up the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Hector Bellerin, Bernd Leno, Lucas Torreira, Pablo Mari, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and Reiss Nelson all for sale.

The Sun, however, reported that Arsenal is having a hard time getting serious offers for the listed players.

Naija News reports that Mikel Arteta‘s side has in the summer transfer window signed the likes of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner to bolster their squad.

The Gunners are believed to have paid £45 million for Jesus.

The 25-year-old old striker’s arrival at the Emirate Stadium was confirmed in an official statement last Monday with club officials expressing their delights across social media platforms.

Jesus will wear the No 9 shirt which was previously worn by Alexandre Lacazette, who left the club as a free agent to join Lyon.

Arsenal technical director Edu while speaking on Jesus’s unveiling said, “We are delighted that we have secured the transfer of Gabriel. Everyone who knows football well, knows the qualities of Gabriel Jesus.

“Gabriel is a player who we have admired for a long time now. He is 25 years old and an established Brazil international who has consistently demonstrated that he is a player at a very high level. We look forward to seeing him join up with his new teammates ahead of the new season. We all welcome Gabriel to Arsenal.”
