North London side, Arsenal have sealed a deal with Manchester City and completed the move for Brazilian striker, Gabriel Jesus to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are believed to have paid £45 million for the 25-year-old old striker.
Pictures of the striker in Arsenal jersey and with club officials were released on Monday morning across the social media platforms of the North London club.
Jesus will wear the No 9 shirt which was previously worn by Alexandre Lacazette, who left the club as a free agent to join Lyon.
The signing of Jesus makes it the fourth signing for Arsenal this summer with the likes of Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos joining the club.
Arsenal technical director Edu while speaking on Jesus’s unveiling said, “We are delighted that we have secured the transfer of Gabriel. Everyone who knows football well, knows the qualities of Gabriel Jesus.
“Gabriel is a player who we have admired for a long time now. He is 25 years old and an established Brazil international who has consistently demonstrated that he is a player at a very high level. We look forward to seeing him join up with his new teammates ahead of the new season. We all welcome Gabriel to Arsenal.”
The club manager, Mikel Arteta said, “I’m very excited. The club has done a tremendous job to recruit a player of this stature. I know Gabriel personally very well, and we all know him well from his time in the Premier League and being really successful here.”
