Omokri Reacts To CJN Tanko’s Resignation, Alleges A Plot He Had With Buhari

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has joined a host of other citizens in reaction to the resignation of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad.

Naija News reports that reactions trailed the resignation of the senior official after the news broke on the internet on Monday, June 27, 2022.

Tanko was said to have in a letter dated Sunday, June 26, 2022, cited health challenges as his reasons for resigning from the position.

Moments after his resignation, Naija News learnt President Muhammadu Buhari will before the end of Monday (today) announce the next most senior justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Reacting however to Tanko’s resignation from the position, Omokri made two allegations against the former CJN.

He alleged that the CJN worked for President Buhari to rig the 2019 election and ensure the installation of Hope Uzodinma as the elected Governor of Imo State.

Omokri lampooned Tanko saying he won’t be missed after resigning as the CJN.

“CJN Tanko is a quota system product who should never have risen beyond an Alkali magistrate. Next to that legal titan, Uwais, he was a legal Lilliputian, used by Buhari to sustain his 2019 rigging and install Uzodinma. He won’t be missed. Good riddance to rubbish!” Omokri tweeted.
