Man Who Flogged Girlfriend For Cheating Arrested

A young man identified Fatai, who with the aid of his friends beat up his girlfriend, Aduke, for allegedly cheating on him has been arrested in Kwara State.

This comes after Aduke, a  HND1 student of the Bartholomew College of Health Shao, Kwara State, cried out on social media after she was assaulted by her boyfriend and his friends over infidelity.

A familiy source familiar with the incident said; “He invited her over and started quizzing her in-front of his friends.

“Fatai accused Aduke of engaging in ‘hookup’ and proceeded to flogging her buttocks with a cane. She pleaded with him to have mercy claiming she was innocent of the cheating allegations but her plea fell to deaf ears.

“After the incident, she took to her WhatsApp status to share gory pictures of the result of the flogging. The matter was reported to the police”

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Kwara state police command, Okasanmi Ajayi told Naija News that the man and his friends have been arrested.

He further added that they are waiting for a detailed report before they would be charged.

”We have arrested them and waiting for a detailed report of the case before we charged them”, he added.
