Reno Reacts As APC Wins Ekiti Governorship Election

Jonathan, Atiku, Shehu Sani React As Reno Omokri Marks 49th Birthday

Controversial author and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted to the declaration of Abiodun Oyebanji as the winner of the governorship election in Ekiti State.

Naija News reports that Oyebanji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won 15 out of the 16 Local Government Areas of the state gathering 187,057 votes.

The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Segun Oni came second with 82,211, while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bisi Kolawole gathered 67,457 votes.

The returning officer for the election, Professor Kayode Oyebode at 3:04 am on Sunday declared Oyebanji the winner of the governorship election.

Reacting in a post via his Instagram on Sunday afternoon, Reno congratulated Oyebanji over his emergence as governor-elect of Ekiti.

He wrote; “Birds Eye View of the Ekiti Elections:

“APC: 187,057 (winner)
“SDP: 82,211
“PDP: 67,457
‘LP: 195

“Congratulations Abiodun Oyebanji.

“I did not say anything beyond congratulating the winner. I just posted a factual detail. Please don’t insult me or threaten my family. Thank you and may God bless you all!”
