Former Liverpool defender, Jose Enrique on Thursday night confirmed that North London side, Arsenal have sealed a deal with Manchester City for Gabriel Jesus.
The 25-year-old striker in the past few weeks has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirate this summer.
Enrique while speaking on the development described Jesus as a good signing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
According to Enrique, Arsenal and Manchester City have agreed to a deal for Jesus to move to the Emirate this summer.
Enrique in a post on his Twitter account wrote, “London calling for Gabriel Jesus.
“Arsenal and Manchester City have agreed on a deal for Gabriel Jesus.
“Good signing by Arsenal. He is a very good player.”
Jesus’s signing is coming after Arsenal released its longtime strike, Alexander Lacazette who has since joined his old club, Lyon.
The North London side would be hoping to add one or two players before the end of the transfer window.
Arteta has plans to take Arsenal back to playing in the UEFA Champions League after years of being away from the tournament.
