Tinubu’s Running Mate: APC Reportedly Contemplates UN Deputy Secretary

The All Progressives Congress, APC Northern Governors have begun a marathon meeting with president Muhammadu Buhari to decide the running mate of the party’s presidential flag bearer Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 election.

According to National Daily Newspaper there are reportedly two lists comprising serving governors, a former one, UN chief, former presidential aide and ministers.

The governors alone are not responsible for determining the Vice presidency the party’s cabal also have a list.

Also the CPC faction of the party are insisting on Justice Minister Abubakar Malami and Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika.

Another report from Daily Trust has also indicated that the cabal has drawn up a list for Tinubu.

Former SGF Babagana Kingibe has forwarded three names to Tinubu for consideration.

On his list are Babagana Zulum, Deputy secretary general of the United Nations Amina J Mohammed and a liaison officer to the national assembly Kashim Ibrahim-Imam.
