2023: I'll Compare Tinubu To Awolowo, Azikiwe, Ahmadu Bello - Al-Makura

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has asked the people of Ekiti State to vote for the party’s candidate in the June 18 governorship election.

Naija News reports Biodun Oyebanji, former Chief of Staff to Governor Kayode Fayemi, emerged as the APC governorship candidate in the primary election held in May.

Speaking at a rally held on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti to drum up support for Oyebanji ahead of Saturday’s governorship poll, Tinubu urged the people of the state to vote for the APC and its candidate.

He advised the people of the state to vote en masse for the APC, adding that if they do not vote, they cannot hold money.

Tinubu, who also spoke in Yoruba language said, “To ba t’eka, o le te owo (if you don’t vote, you can’t hold money.)”

The APC Presidential flagbearer also boasted that he has never failed in an election before and would not begin with Ekiti.

He said, “I’ve never failed an election before.”

Tinubu however appealed to Ekiti people not to vote the Peoples Democratic Party in the state and in the 2023 presidential election, stressing that the opposition party brought poverty to the state.
