APGA Youth Leader Killed By Gunmen In Anambra

A youth leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Anambra State has been killed.

The deceased, Emeka Alaehobi, was said to have been missing since last Thursday only for his lifeless body to be found somewhere in the Utu community today.

Reports had it that Alaehobi was kidnapped by some criminals terrorizing the state. The kidnappers, Naija News learnt that his abductors never reached out to the family for any ransom since he was kidnapped, only for them to find the young man dead.

It was gathered that the late APGA youth leader was kidnapped from his home at Ukpor in Nnewi South local government area.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer for the state command, Tochukwu Ikenga, said a corpse was found in the area on Saturday.

He said: “When our operatives got to the scene, the corpse had been removed by some persons we are yet to identify. We have also ascertained that the corpse is that of the APGA youth leader.”

Naija News understands there has been a series of criminal activities in Anambra State over the months. Ukpor particularly which is the headquarters of the Nnewi South local government area has been marked as one of the most troubled areas since violent crimes became rampant in the state.
