Peter Obi Reveals Experience With Female Pensioner Who Challenged Him In Church Over Unpaid Entitlement
Former governor of Anambra state and 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi has narrated how he salvaged a situation when a female pensioner accost and walked him out of a church over her unpaid entitlements
Naija News reports that Obi who is running for president in 2023 on the platform of the Labour Party narrated the ordeal in a recent interview with Brekete family reality talk magazine program.
According to the presidential aspirant, he was in the church when a female pensioner accosted him, demanding that he settled her unpaid salaries and pensions.
He mentioned that the woman had insisted he left the church, adding that God will not answer his prayers over their debt owed by the government.
Obi added that he was not aware the previous government owed pensioners, stating that he had to follow the woman home, and fixed the issue.
He said, until he left Anambra state, every pensioner was paid their dues and backlogs were cleared.
Meanwhile, the Labour party has reacted to the speculations that its former presidential aspirant, Sampson Uchenna emerged as a faction presidential candidate in the party’s primary election.
A statement issued by the Acting National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi Oluwafemi and made available to newsmen disclosed that Sampson Uchenna voluntarily withdrew from the race to support Peter Obi.
While commending Sampson Uchenna for his decision, the party affirmed that Peter Obi is the sole aspirant of the party and fingered opposition parties for sponsoring such falsehood.
Labour Party, therefore, challenged the PDP Vanguard to provide details of the venue and date of the convention that produced Samson Uchenna and whether it was supervised by the INEC.
