The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has reacted following the attack on Christian worshipers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo in Ondo State.

Naija News had earlier reported that unknown gunmen had invaded a catholic church, throwing explosives and shooting many worshippers dead on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

In the video shared on social media, it was learned that no fewer than 50 worshippers were either shot dead or murdered by the explosives.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reports that 11 children and 22 adults have been admitted to the Federal Medical Centre in Owo’s emergency wards.

The occurrence sparked a national outcry and was widely condemned in Nigeria and the international community.

Reacting to the sad incident, Adeboye expressed sadness, stating that he is unable to grasp the evil that motivates one human being to deliberately take the life of another.

He wrote, “My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered from this gruesome attack.

“I am unable to grasp the evil that motivates one human being to deliberately take the life of another.

“Every soul counts before God, and I know that He is greatly displeased with this wickedness.

“I pray that God comforts the loved ones of the departed, and the people of Ondo at large.

May we never have cause to send such greetings again. And may Nigeria never know such bloodshed again.”
