2023: Amosun Steps Down For Bola Tinubu

Former Governor of Ogun State and presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, Ibikunle Amosun has stepped down for the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.

The lawmaker representing Ogun Central senatorial district stated this while addressing delegates at the ongoing presidential primary of the ruling party.

Amosun who listed the challenges affecting the progress of Nigeria vowed to work with Tinubu to eradicate the issues rocking the country.

The former Governor also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his achievements in the area of infrastructure in Nigeria.

He added that the security challenges in the country have hindered Nigerians from appreciating the achievements of the current government.

According to Amosun, the Buhari government has done well for making sure that Nigerians consume what we produce.

Amosun while giving the reason for withdrawing from the presidential election argued that his decision was in the spirit of consensus-building.

He thanked the northern APC governours of the party for their resolution to push for the return of the presidency to the Southern part of the country.
