Nigerians have reacted after Presidential Aspirant and APC chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during his condolence visit to Ondo state over the killing of Catholic worshippers, pledged N75million to the victims of the attack.

Naija News earlier reported that Tinubu had left delegates, chieftains and other members of the APC that had arrived in Abuja for the party’s presidential primary, for Ondo State.

The presidential hopeful arrived in Owo to see the survivors who are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

While at the hospital, Tinubu in the company of the state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, donated N50 million to aid the treatment of the victims while the other N25m will go to the Catholic Church, promising to tackle the security challenges in the country if elected as the next President.

Announcing the donation, Akeredolu said, “Our leader is donating N50 million to take care of the victims, and an additional donation of 25 million will go to the Catholic Church for the victims and every other thing.”

The action has sparked mixed reactions among Netizens who tagged the act of kindness a campaign strategy to gain the heart of the masses.
