Davido Reacts As Gunmen Kills Many Worshippers At Owo Catholic Church

Award-winning singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has reacted to the unknown gunmen attack at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo, Ondo State.

Naija News reports that unknown gunmen had invaded a catholic church, throwing explosives and shooting many worshippers died on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

In the video shared on social media, it was learned that no fewer than 10 worshippers were either shot dead or murdered by the explosives.

It is understood that Owo is the hometown of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.

Reacting to the development in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Sunday, Davido expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident.

He wrote: “Jesus take control. Pray for Nigeria. RIP to all the lost souls.”

In another tweet, he wrote; “This is too much”

Meanwhile, the Government of Ondo State has vowed to hunt down terrorists who attacked worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-Iuwa Street, on Sunday.

Naija News reports that Ondo Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in a statement on Sunday expressed sadness over the unprovoked attack and killing of innocent people of Owo, describing the incident as satanic and “unexpected”

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Richard Olatunde, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday where he stated that the attack is a calculated assault on the peace-loving people of the Owo Kingdom ” who have enjoyed relative peace over the years.”
