Adamu Has Resigned - APC Deputy National Organizing Secretary Confirms

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, says no presidential aspirant had been disqualified from contesting at the party’s presidential primary.

Naija News earlier reported the John Odigie-Oyegun led APC Presidential Screening Committee had disqualified 10 of the 23 presidential aspirants of the party.

While presenting the committee’s report to the APC national chairman on Friday, Odigie-Oyegun said only 13 out of the 23 aspirants screened were cleared by the committee.

While refusing to reveal the identity of those disqualified, the former APC national chairman said that only youthful aspirants made the list of cleared aspirants.

However, a list showing the names of presidential aspirants on the ‘safe list’ and those reportedly disqualified emerged on Saturday morning.

Speaking with reporters at the APC headquarters in Abuja on Saturday afternoon, Adamu said the screening committee did not disqualify any presidential hopeful as speculated on social media.

The APC chairman said all the presidential aspirants will contest the party’s presidential primary slated for June 6 at the Eagles Square in Abuja.
