A Nigerian Catholic priest identified as Fr. Evaristus Bassey has revealed plans to impose a no PVC no offering rule in order to get members involved in the voting process as the 2023 general elections draws near.

Naija News understands that the 2023 general elections is fast approaching, and some leaders are coming up with strategic ways to get their followers involved in the voting process.

For Reverend Father Bassey, imposing the no PVC, no Offering rule is the way to get his members involved.

He took to the microblogging platform, Twitter on Thursday to reveal his plans.

He wrote; ”I want to enforce no PVC No Offering in my parish. I want to check something.”

Meanwhile, Ifeanyi Akorjuru, a Nigerian lady recently caused a stir after disclosing  that she took a one year sabbatical leave to focus on the former Anambra state governor and 2023 presidential aspirant, Peter Obi’s campaign.

Naija News reports that the former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, on Monday officially became the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

Obi will battle former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other candidates yet to emerge for Nigeria’s presidency.
Reacting to the development, a zealous supporter of Peter Obi, Ifeanyi announced her sabbatical leave from work to campaign for Obi.
According to her, she took the decision so as to be able to remain focused on Peter Obi Presidential campaign.
She wrote; “We cannot put all our eggs in one basket, all of us cannot belong to one group,  however, let our target and aim be the same. Guys, my one year sabbatical leave from work was approved today by my employers. That will enable me remain focus on Peter Obi Presidential campaign.”
