A member of the House of Representative representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Shina Peller, has lost his bid to pick the Oyo North senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News reports that Shina Peller, Nigerian entrepreneur, politician, Industrialist, lost the APC ticket to Senator Fatai Buhari.

Buhari scored 570 votes against Peller’s five votes, ending the lawmaker’s four-year stint in the National Assembly.

Buhari is the incumbent senator representing Oyo North senatorial district.

Recall that Peller who was elected to the House in 2019 had declined to seek a second term in order to honour an agreement to rotate the seat in his constituency.

APC Yet To Conduct Primaries In Taraba – Aspirants Claim

A group of aggrieved aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Taraba State on Sunday, decried that the primary election committee for Taraba state is nowhere to be found and so, no primaries have been conducted in the state.

Barr. Shitu Muhammed Chairman of the group on behalf of the other aspirants who disclosed this in a press conference at the party Secretariat in Jalingo said, the committee set up to conduct the exercise in Taraba was nowhere to be found.

The aspirants while advising those parading as candidates to desist, called on the national working committee of the party to urgently address the matter to avoid what may affect the party in the general election.
