Dino Melaye Reveals Why He Lifted Tambuwal At PDP Presidential Primary

Former Kogi Central Senator, Dino Melaye has revealed why he caused a scene at the Presidential Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Saturday.

Naija News earlier reported that Melaye hugged and lifted Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State off the ground after the latter withdrew from the primary election held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

Melaye also shook Tambuwal’s hands for stepping down for Atiku and paying allegiance to the 2019 PDP Presidential candidate.

The former lawmaker is a staunch supporter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Following the development, Melaye took to his Twitter page on Sunday morning to explain the reason for his action.

The PDP chieftain stated that he lifted governor Tambuwal off the ground due to excitement and happiness.

He also shared the video of the incident with a caption that reads: “See wetin excitement cause ooo”
