Real Madrid's Karim Benzema and Liverpool Star, Mo Salah

Real Madrid star player, Karim Benzema, has sent a ‘warning’ message to Premier League side, Liverpool as they anticipate their 2022 UEFA Champions League final clash at the Stade de France stadium on Sunday.

In 2018, the La Liga giants denied the Reds a Champions League trophy after beating them 3-1.

Sunday UCL final between the two top clubs, however, could be difficult for anyone to predict yet considering their different forms this season.

Liverpool striker, Mohamed Salah had earlier disclosed he wanted to face Real Madrid in the final before the Los Blancos defeated Manchester City 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu weeks ago to qualify for the 2022 UCL final in Paris.

The Egyptian captain relished the chance to get revenge on Carlo Ancelotti’s side, tweeting after their victory over Manchester City: “We have a score to settle.”

Sensitive Benzema has now replied to Mo Salah ahead of their Sunday night clash, reminding the Reds’ star player that the upcoming Champions League final will be a different ball game.

“Salah can say what he wants,” Benzema said during an interview with Movistar. “But this is a different game,” he noted.

Benzema added saying “Liverpool has a lot of confidence. They think they have already won the match, maybe.”

Naija News understands that Liverpool has so much pace on both the wings. However, it is difficult to conclude that they will see Madrid off in the end.

Madrid on the other hand aside from Benzema has the likes of Vinicius Jr who can be a handful for Liverpool’s RB Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Reds’ star Centre-back, Virgil van Dijk will also have a serious job to do to stop Benzema.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s players were spotted training earlier with brain sensors on their heads as they prepared to battle Madrid on Sunday.

Naija News understands that this would be the second time the Reds will take on Real Madrid in five finals having lost to the La Liga giants in 2018.
