[Breaking] Primary Election: Caleb Mutfwang Emerges Plateau PDP Guber Candidate

After hours of huddles on Wednesday at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP primary elections in Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang emerged as the winner of the party’s governorship ticket.

Naija News understands that the former chairman of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State polled 252 votes to defeat 13 other aspirants at the primaries yesterday.

The result was declared by the chairman of the panel, Bode Ogunmola.

Meanwhile, Dr Timothy Golu, Chief Latep Dabang, Pastor Vincent Nanle and Mr Jack Yakubu Pam have earlier withdrawn themselves from the contest out of the 18 aspirants.

Meanwhile, former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the Senate, Shehu Sani has lost the gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Kaduna State.

Naija News reports that the former lawmaker lost the primary election to Honourable Isah Ashiru.

Recall that another aspirant for the Kaduna PDP ticket Datti Baba-Ahmed had earlier withdrawn from the race.

Shehu Sani had constantly maintained that he will not give any delegate money to vote for him in the primaries.

According to the former Senator, he does not have the money to bribe PDP delegates.

Confirming his defeat in a post on his Twitter on Thursday morning, Sani congratulated Isah Ashiru for his victory.

He however insisted that he refused to give delegates a dime to sway votes in his favour.

The popular former lawmaker appreciated the two delegates that decided to vote for him despite not receiving money from him.
