A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned the brutal murder of a woman called Fatima and her four children.
Reports had emerged about the killing of the heavily pregnant Fatima, her four children and six other individuals by unknown gunmen suspected to members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
It was gathered that the pregnant woman and her children were killed at Isulo, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Anambra State is recently experiencing an increase in attacks on indigenes and people of other tribes.
Many have accused the militant wing of IPOB, Eastern Security Network (ESN) of carrying out the attacks but the pro-Biafra group has constantly denied been behind such killings.
In a post on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode described the killers as beasts who should be treated as such.
The former Aviation Minister stated that the killing was shameful and barbaric.
Fani-Kayode wrote: “The killing of a heavily pregnant northern lady by the name of Fatima together with her four children & six others in Anambra State by unknown gunmen is shameful & barbaric.
“Those who committed this atrocity are beasts and they should be treated as such. I condemn this evil act.”
