Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Meets UAE Leadership Over Visa Ban, Others

Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the threat that led to the cancellation of a planned crusade in Aba, Abia State by the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Church, Pastor W.F Kumuyi.

Sani in a Twitter post on Monday, said the act stands condemned and people should have the courage to openly condemn it.

It will be recalled that the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had asked Pastor Williams Kumuyi of Deeper Life Bible Church to cancel his scheduled crusade in Abia State.

The pro-Biafra group issued the stern warning in a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, on Thursday.

IPOB asked the cleric to cancel the planned crusade because any attack that leads to bloodshed would be planned on the group.

According to the group, Kumuyi and other clerics should pray for an end to killings in the South-East.

Following the threat, after initially insisting the crusade will proceed as planned, Pastor Kumuyi eventually cancelled the programme, citing security challenges.

Reacting to the episode, Sani took to his Twitter page to condemn the threat.

He wrote: “The threat against Pastor Kumuyi that led to the cancellation of his crusade in Aba is a condemnable act; And people should have the courage to say so.”
