Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag has concluded that Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo would be part of his plans for the Red Devils.

Naija News reports that the 2021/2022 English Premier League season ended on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

Ten Hag is expected henceforth to begin his reformation plan to salvage United from its fallen state ahead of next season.

The Red Devils, under former manager Ralf Rangnick could not make it to the list of top four EPL clubs.

However, while there is speculation that Ten Hag might rule out Ronaldo from his squad next season, the Dutchman said the top striker can bring more goals for United.

Erik ten Hag when asked if Cristiano Ronaldo will have a role in his plans for new Manchester United, and said “Of course!”.

Cristiano can bring goals. But I talk first with Cristiano before I talk with you”, ten Hag added.

Naija News understands that United have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season in 2013.

The Red Devil are Trophy less in the last five years but Ten Hag is optimistic he can break the City and Liverpool duopoly.

“At this moment, I admire them both,” Ten Hag said.

They play really fantastic football, both Liverpool and Man City. But you always see an era can come to an end and I’m looking forward to battling with them.

And I am sure all the other clubs in the Premier League want to do that,” Ten Hag.

When asked if Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Liverpool Jurgen Klopp’s dominance could end, he replied: “I think, yeah.”

Naija News reports that City won this season’s title after finishing top with 93 points, just three points above Liverpool who finished second.

Meanwhile, United ended the season sixth with a miserable 58 points and are further behind City than they were in the David Moyes season of 2013-14.
