AC Milan have been crowned the 2021/2022 Italian Serie A champions.

Naija News reports that the red part of Milan won their first Serie A title in 11 years on Sunday after beating Sassuolo 3-0 to snatch the title from local rivals Inter Milan.

Needing just a point to claim the Scudetto, Milan swept their hosts aside thanks to an Olivier Giroud brace and another from Franck Kessie in the first half in front of an army of away fans.

Stefano Pioli’s Milan finished two points ahead of Inter, who beat Sampdoria 3-0 in the San Siro.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have been crowned the 2021/2022 English Premier League champions.

Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton could not stop the celebration on the Blue side of Manchester.
