Just In: Tinubu Set To Return To Nigeria After France Trip

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu, has disclosed that he is the president Nigeria needs in 2023.

According to the presidential hopeful, he would tackle the security challenges in the country and rejig the economy of the nation if elected the next President in 2023.

Tinubu stated this on Sunday while interacting with APC delegates in Damaturu, Yobe State capital, ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.

The former Lagos governor also promised to ensure that security is guaranteed, making it convenient for farmers to access their lands.

He said: “I mentally pictured the millet, sorghum, corn, groundnuts and other produce that are coming out from this axis to the rest of the world, so I can say Yobe farmers are doing great but they need to be supported and encourage.

“We need to have a fully secure country, our economy needs to be rejigged; we need non-oil revenues, our children require quality and accessible education and much more, so you have the assurances of that if you vote for me.”

Tinubu also promised to restore a government organisation set up to control commodity pricing in the country if elected as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.

He was accompanied by his campaign Director-General and former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima; former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Tanko Almakura.

Others are the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nuhu Ribadu, and Kashim Imam, among others.
